Pink Floyd's David Gilmour has been nominated for a prestigious Grammy award at the 51st Grammy Awards to be held in February 2009. HE has been nominated for the live version of Castellorizon from the live show he performed at Gdansk. The performance was captured on the beautiful Live at Gdansk DVD set.

David faces some tough competition from the other nominees in the category!

Who would you have win best rock instrumental if it were up to you? Vote above!

"Peaches En Regalia," while not exactly my favorite Zappa song, is still probably the most original piece of music among those offered.

Zappa plays Zappa casts a glance towards the future of "Classic Rock" in which artists other than those who composed the music will perform the music of a specific artist as the program of the evening.

Kind of like...The London Symphony Orchestra playing the music of Mozart.

Only this is Zappa's kid...and some of the people from the original albums.

Zappa, as the others look pretty uninspiring.

I just looked it up on YouTube. I'm a tad underwhelmed.

David Gilmour's castellorizon, why because I'm biased, I've never made it a secret that I'm a fan. Besides it was a good performance, I think a lot of people in the music community don't give him enough credit.
