Currently working on a video for it,just for fun :)
When we started writing Life Could Be A Dream it was on a late summer day by a lake, so we shot some footage while we were there, so we'll be able to get a video for it too. I finally got the lyrics pinned down for it, now we just need to get our arrangement together and record it.

That sounds excellent,I wish you well for the recording.
I used a site I have used several times, the Internet Archive for the moving image.
It has thousands of old films, documentaries and so on that are now in public domain, it saves on all the copy write hassle.

I have also used NASA,ESA,SOHO in the past,if you contact them they can be very obliging.

I'm thinking of April as a deadline for submissions for this project.

Are there any objections?

Just reminding people that this is still a going concern and that there's still plenty of room for other forum members to get involved.

Just go to this thread, and pick a fake song title to compose a song around, then be sure to let the others know (via this thread) that you have chosen that title.

Just be sure that it's not a title that's already in use, please. The titles that have been chosen already are mentioned in earlier posts in this thread.

I may be interested in contributing something. It will probably be an instrumental as I'm well out of practice as far as vocals (and writing lyrics) go. Instruments will include drums, piano, organ, harpsichord, strings, and possibly some brass instruments.

I'm just pretentious enough to tackle a title like "Trials and tribulations", so I might as well have a go at that one.

i don't know if this is still going, but i think i'll take a stab at writing lyrics for "i'm quite comfortable". i'm not a musician, so i can't record the track, but if i come up with something i'll post it is thread and someone else can take a crack at writing the music and recording it.

I've got some lyrics for you....

OLD LUST

I am not a new boy
I have been around
I would write a new song
if only I could find a decent sound

ooooh...I need a verse and chorus
ooooh...I need a melody
ooooh...I wish I was the walrus
ooooh...wish I could sing in key

On the road with the same old show
This nostalgia act is getting old
I need some new material
I need more fiber in my cereal

ooooh....it's the same old show, now
ooooh....it's the same old songs
ooooh....it just goes to show, now
ooooh....no one's a genius for long

As of now, this is still a going concern. Knock yourself out David...and if no one else steps up to put music to what you come up with, I'll be more than happy to.

As a status update for any/all concerned:

I've already received "Dreams Factory" and that's it so far.

MG is hard at work on his contributions and I'm about to begin serious work on mine.

If there's anyone else who'd like to jump in, just post here and let me know.

In a related note, I've begun remixing "Away From The Skies" for Double Core and will probably begin work on the "Come And See" and "Stars" remakes for the Double Core redux. MG is prepping for his redo of "Silent Victory" and I'm hoping to have that all assembled at the same time I'll have this ready.

*crosses fingers and keeps them there*

Aw, c'mon, man. This project needs you. Who will write the music for Old Lust?

Mossy, you wanna take a stab at it?
I'll even give you some ideas for the chords....

Verses: Em - Em7 -D -Am -C -D7

Chorus: C#/Dflat7flat5 - E7sus4- Fminor11 - D#/Eflat+7Augmented7 -A+(Maj7) - A#/BflatHalf Diminished

Instrumental Break: Em -D (x40) There should be a telephone signal beeping throughout the entire instrumental passage. It just wont be the same without the 3 note harpsichord solo but maybe a synth will work.

Have you got it yet?

I think the instrumental break should consist of AbmM7Add9 and EM7. Em to D is just too predictable.

I will participate, but only if I get a free cape.

And I'm thinking of constant twiddling arpeggios and harmonic minor scales for the solo.
